Look What Arrived in our Classroom!

4-3-13

It’s a Micro-Farm!  We assembled it this morning and will work to start planting tomorrow.  The students are especially excited about mixing the soil with the worm casings!  ;-)  Stay tuned for further posts about our new adventure!

Batty for Bats!

2 – 13 – 13

Nearly 50 books about bats greeted the students as they entered the classroom today.  Students self-selected 2-3 books for Read to Self.  Their excitement and anticipation for our end of the day Bat Presentation fueled their desire to learn more about bats.  Some were a little hesitant, but slowly warmed up to the idea of the Bat Presentation (with LIVE BATS!).  I was only able to capture the experience in one photo and one short clip.  Enjoy!
